ProStart Culinary
ProStart
Culinary Arts
ProStart® is a career and technical education program that unites the food service industry and the classroom to teach high school students culinary skills, restaurant management principles, and employability skills such as communication, teamwork, professionalism, and time management.
ProStart students finish the program ready to join the workforce and make an immediate impact in restaurants and food service. ProStart students are closely connected to industry experts through guest speakers, class mentors, tours of local facilities, hosting student competitions, and more – all to ensure the real-world experience is brought directly to the classroom.
SCHOLORSHIPS
The National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation and Colorado
Restaurant Foundation offer scholarships in post-secondary foodservice and
hospitality-related fields to ProStart graduates.
COMMUNITY
ProStart provides critical business skills -- including teamwork, leadership, business
management, and business math -- to succeed no matter which path students choose. The program also emphasizes community involvement and
volunteering.
CERTIFICATES
ProStart students can earn a nationally recognized Certificate of Achievement, proving that they have met a rigorous
list of education and work goals, including at least 400 hours of work experience in restaurants and food service.
